German Speaking Payroll Specialist

Your Mission
In this role, you will take full ownership of the payroll cycle for your dedicated client base, ensuring accuracy and compliance at every step.
- Payroll Management: Independently process monthly salary runs for approximately 800–1,000 employees across various industries.
- Regulatory Liaison: Manage all communication and mandatory filings with social security carriers and tax authorities.
- Consultative Support: Serve as the subject matter expert for clients on complex questions regarding German labor, tax, and social insurance law.
- Data Integrity: Oversee the lifecycle of employee master data and perform systematic quality controls within the payroll system.
- Audit Readiness: Lead year-end closing procedures and provide expert support during external audits, such as German Pension Insurance reviews.
- Process Evolution: Contribute to the integration of new clients and assist in the continuous optimization of our internal digital processes.
Your Qualifications
- Professional Background: You have successfully completed a commercial apprenticeship (or equivalent) and bring a minimum of 2 years of dedicated experience in German payroll accounting.
- Legal Expertise: You possess a rock-solid foundation in current German wage tax and social security regulations.
- Language Skills: You operate with native or near-native fluency in German (C1).
- Software Proficiency: You are digitally savvy; while experience with SBS Lohn is a major advantage, a general ease with payroll software and MS Office is required.
- Soft Skills: You are a highly organized individual with a strong service-oriented heart and the ability to thrive in an evolving, dynamic environment.
